Job summary

Au Pair Extraordinaire in the Western Cape is seeking an Afrikaans-speaking au pair to care for two children aged 6 and 4. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 12:00–17:00, with school-holiday timings to be confirmed. Duties include school pickup, after-school activities, homework help, educational play, and occasional weekend babysitting by arrangement.

Start January 2027 on a permanent contract. Requirements include first aid training, Afrikaans fluency, own car with at least 18 months driving

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience within the last 2 years.
• Own a reliable car with at least 18 months driving experience.
• Two contactable childcare references.
• Clear criminal record.
• Passion for children, matric, and SA ID document.

Responsibilities

• Collect from school and accompany to extra murals.
• Grocery shopping on your behalf and homework supervision.
• Engage in educational stimulation and age-appropriate play.
• Occasional babysitting and weekend work by prior arrangement.

A family is looking for an AFRIKAANS AU PAIR for their children aged 6 years old and 4 years old

Duties: Collect from school, take to extra murals, grocery shopping on your behalf, assist with and supervise homework, engage in educational stimulation and age appropriate play, occasional babysitting and weekend work (by prior arrangement)
Requirements: first aid training and Afrikaans speaking
Start date: January 2027 start - permanent contract
Salary: R11 500 - R12 000 per month per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)
