Children's Ages: 9 year old (Grade 3) - Boy
Child’s NeurodivergenceSnapshot: He experiences anxiety, with the main areas requiring support being social and emotional regulation and sensory needs. They have previously completed an Occupational Therapy (OT) course and were discharged after making progress.
Support Style: He has previously received OT support and is currently supported by a psychologist. He likes structure, routine and a regular environment.
Working Hours: Monday and Wednesday 13:45 - 17:30, Tuesday 13:00/13:30 - 17:00, Thursday 13:45 - 17:00 and Friday 13:45 - 16:15
School Holiday Hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
Duties: School collections, transport to extra murals, homework supervision, preparing snacks or meals, including his lunch for the next day, educational play and ensuring he is ready for the next day.
Special Requirements: I need someone experienced but still young enough to kick ball and play tennis or ping pong. He is veExxperiencry energetic and needs to let off steam. But it is essential that he also does his homework well (practice spelling) and prepares for tests and exams. I don’t currently have a need for ‘babysitting’ but that could be convenient if the person could step in from time to time, since it will be a familiar person. He loves structure, knowing what to expect, not very good with change. Also, very sensory in terms of what he eats. Lots of patience and understanding, but able to set and keep boundaries.
Start Date & Contract Term: November 2026 or January 2027 - permanent
Salary: R9000 - R9500pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)
