Au Pair Extraordinaire in Hout Bay is seeking a reliable, energetic au pair to care for two children aged 13 and 11. The role runs Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 18:00, with additional hours during school holidays when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience within the last 2 years.
• Must have own reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Must have a passion for children.
• Must have Matric.
• Must have a South African ID document.

Responsibilities

• Collecting both children from school, taking to and from extra murals, homework assistance and general care.
• Ensuring healthy meals are given to the children and helping with anything childcare related.
• The 13-year-old has hypo active ADHD and requires assistance with homework and staying focused; provide Maths tutoring as needed.

A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their children aged 13 years old and 11 years old
Area: Hout Bay
Ages: 13 years old and 11 years old
Working hours: Monday – Friday: 14h00 – 18h00
School holidays: some additional hours in school holidays, usually the family will go away for parts of the holidays but not all, so would need more flexibility around hours in those times.
Duties: Collecting both children from school, taking to and from extra murals, homework assistance and general care. Ensuring healthy meals are given to the children as well as helping with anything childcare related. The son (13 years old) has hypo active ADHD and requires a bit of assistance with homework and remaining focused, just to keep him on track. He will need to be tutored in Maths.
Requirements:Young at heart, must be cat friendly
Start date: ASAP start – permanent contract
Salary: R10 000 - R11 000 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95) + overtime when necessary
