Job summary

ATNS SOC Limited in Cape Town invites applications for a Target Generating Operator FACT X2 on a 36-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on simulator support within the SSS domain and requires basic math and English skills, with geography an advantage.

Responsibilities include setting up simulators, running exercises, updating ICAO flight plan data, and maintaining training documentation. The position offers exposure to air traffic simulation environments and client-facing coordination.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics and English passed subjects.
• Geography will be an added advantage.
• Core Content is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Set up simulators in accordance with standard practice.
• Attend pre-brief and de-brief with ATS Instructors and delegates.
• Fly the exercises according to the objectives for the relevant exercises.
• Manipulate simulator generated tracks via the ATM Display Simulator and Pilot Positions.
• Comply with OHAS and safety requirements for training interventions.
• Capture, program and test ICAO Flight Plan details into the simulator database.
• Coordinate with ATS personnel to attain real data for ICAO Flight Plan details.
• Develop and test exercises to satisfy client training requirements.
• Maintain currency of training documentation and reference materials.
• Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
