Job summary

ATNS SOC Limited in Johannesburg seeks a Target Generating Operator FAOR X4 for a 36-month fixed term contract. You will operate simulators and support training interventions, including preparing ICAO flight plans and maintaining training documentation.

The role requires Grade 12 with Mathematics and English, with geography as an added advantage and 3–6 months of related exposure. On-site work and strong OHAS compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics and English as passed subjects.
• Geography will be an added advantage.
• Core Content is recommended.
• A minimum of 3 to 6 months related work experience or exposure.

Responsibilities

• Set up simulators in accordance with standard practice.
• Attend pre-brief and de-brief with ATS Instructors and delegates.
• Fly the exercises according to the objectives for the relevant exercises.
• Manipulation of simulator generated tracks via the Air Traffic Management Display Simulator.
• Comply with OHAS and safety requirements applicable to training interventions.
• Capture, program and test ICAO Flight Plan details into the simulator database.
• Coordinate with ATS personnel to obtain real data for ICAO Flight Plans.
• Develop and test exercises to satisfy training requirements.
• Maintain training documentation and up-to-date maps/charts for pilots.
