Job summary

Mr Price Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for Moletsi Mall to support daily store operations, drive sales, and maintain customer service standards.

You will lead a team, manage stock, analyse performance, and ensure compliance with policies while upholding brand values and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 qualification.
• 2–3 years’ supervisory/assistant store management experience.
• Understanding of sales & service management.
• Budgeting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Effective communication skills.
• Understanding of retail trade, brand, customer and product.

Responsibilities

• Stock management: receive, unpack, merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
• Monitor stock levels and manage stock to mitigate loss and ensure stock on hand.
• Maintain stockroom housekeeping and authorize write-offs/returns.
• Analyze sales and profitability reports to drive action plans and increase sales.
• Review product performance and provide feedback to support centre.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.
• Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies.
• Ensure and maintain customer experience processes to meet service standards.
• Lead and develop store team to achieve KPIs and align with company values.
• Recruit, coach and manage performance per company policies.

Job Description

Support the store manager in managing the daily operations of a store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets and customer service standards are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

Stock Management:

• Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.


• Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.


• Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.


• Authorise write offs, breakages, recalls and returns.


• Analyse sales & profitability reports in store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance and monitor store expenditure.


• Review and keep abreast of in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.


• Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.


• Conduct compliance checks through defined processes to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures.

Customer Experience Management:

• Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes to meet customer service standards.

Leadership & Development:

• Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.


• Identify & drive training, coaching and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.


• Recruit, administer & manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Grade: 12.


• 2 to 3 Years' Experience in a Supervisory/Assistant Store Management capacity.


• Understanding of Sales & Service Management.


• Budgeting Skills.


• Proficiency in MS Office.


• Effective Communication Skills
