Job summary

Mr Price Group seeks an Assistant Store Manager for Mr Price Home at Inkwazi Centre. You will lead a team, drive sales, coach staff, and ensure a vibrant customer experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will partner with the Store Manager to optimize inventory, maintain visuals, handle daily operations, and deliver excellent service while upholding company standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Grade 12; 3 years retail experience and budgeting exposure preferred.
• Business understanding of retail trade, brand, customer & product.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate store team to achieve targets and maintain a positive work environment.
• Train and coach staff to deliver outstanding customer service and experiences.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to meet sales targets and monitor KPIs.
• Assist in inventory management including ordering, receiving and stock counts.
• Maintain appealing store visuals and product displays.
• Oversee daily store operations, cash handling and security protocols.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Address and resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Assist in reporting on sales, inventory and key metrics.
• Contribute to merchandising planning and marketing campaigns.
• Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling and payroll.
• Maintain store cleanliness and overall presentation.
• Support Store Manager and execute their vision for the store.
