Mr Price Home Kuruman in Northern Cape is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a team, drive sales and deliver an engaging shopping experience. You will work closely with the Store Manager to implement sales strategies, train staff, and uphold store standards.

The role focuses on team leadership, customer service excellence, inventory management, and daily operations to ensure a vibrant, well-merchandised store that reflects the Mr Price Home brand.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
• Some budgeting experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and lead a team of store associates, setting clear expectations and a positive work environment.
• Train and coach staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet or exceed sales targets and monitor KPIs.
• Assist in inventory ordering, receiving and replenishment to minimize losses and ensure stock counts.
• Maintain an appealing store layout and product displays through visual merchandising.
• Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling and safety protocols.
• Support training and development of team members to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
• Address customer complaints and issues professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Contribute to merchandising planning, promotional campaigns, and store initiatives.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll and maintaining accurate records.
• Oversee store cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to execute their vision for the store.
