Crew Life at Sea seeks an Assistant Beverage Operations Manager to support daily beverage program administration aboard our cruise line. You will oversee COS, revenue reports, and inventory controls while coaching the beverage team under Celebrity standard policies.

You will manage systems like InfoGenesis and CT Net Chef, conduct audits, enforce USPH compliance, and drive cost efficiency, reporting to the Beverage Operations Manager and Senior Assistant Beverage Manager.

Qualifications

  • Three years' progressive experience in food & beverage operations (hotels, cruise ships, or high-volume venues).
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, cost analysis, and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, inventory systems, and POS systems.
  • Working knowledge of USPH requirements and environmental safety standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strict adherence to The Celebrity Way standards and all safety, environmental, sanitation, and operational policies.
  • Prepare end-of-voyage reports, turnaround reports, and Cost of Sales analysis.
  • Manage beverage systems (InfoGenesis, inventory databases) and reporting tools.
  • Own Daily Cost of Sales and Revenue Reports with timely submission.
  • Conduct minimum five Beverage Package Audits daily, including guest folio checks for zero-value transactions.
  • Coordinate Inventory Cycle Counts and reconcile discrepancies bi-monthly.
  • Investigate losses, spoilage, shortages, and other inventory inconsistencies.
  • Coordinate minibar spot checks with Housekeeping and prepare customs declarations.
  • Perform routine financial audits and inventory spot checks to ensure controls.

ASSISTANT BEVERAGE OPERATIONS MANAGER

Reports To: Beverage Operations Manager, Senior Assistant Beverage Manager, Beverage Trainer

Direct Reports: Senior Bartenders, Bartenders, Bar Servers, Private Bar Attendants, Bar Backs

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Beverage Operations Manager is an entry-level shipboard management position designed for high-potential leaders within the Beverage Department.

This role supports the day-to-day administration, cost control, inventory procedures, and operational oversight of the ship's beverage program. The position ensures the consistent execution of all company standards, particularly those relating to financial controls, United States Public Health (USPH) compliance, and inventory integrity.

The Assistant Beverage Operations Manager serves as the primary administrator for systems such as CT Net Chef and InfoGenesis. The role is responsible for generating key operational and financial reports, including Cost of Sales (COS), Daily Revenue, and Inventory Cycle Count reports.

The position also plays an important role in on-the-spot coaching, inventory spot checks, and financial auditing. All duties must be performed in accordance with The Celebrity Way, company policies, and all applicable safety, quality, sanitation, and environmental regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of three years' progressive experience in food and beverage operations within upscale hotels, cruise ships, or high-volume hospitality venues. Previous shipboard experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems, cost analysis, financial controls, and administrative procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, inventory management systems, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Working knowledge of USPH requirements and environmental safety standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS
  • Maintain strict adherence to The Celebrity Way standards, including all safety, environmental, sanitation, and operational policies.
  • Perform administrative functions, including end-of-voyage reports, turnaround reports, and Cost of Sales analysis.
  • Manage and maintain beverage-related systems, including the InfoGenesis point-of-sale system, inventory databases, and operational reporting tools.
  • Take ownership of the Daily Cost of Sales and Revenue Reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to the Beverage Operations Manager.
  • Conduct a minimum of five Beverage Package Audits each day, including guest folio checks for zero-value transactions.
  • Manage Consumables and Replaceables (C&R) inventory and ensure that minimum par levels are maintained.
  • Coordinate bi-monthly Inventory Cycle Counts, verify physical stock, and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Investigate and report losses, spoilage, breakage, shortages, and other inventory inconsistencies.
  • Coordinate and report minibar spot checks in collaboration with the Housekeeping Department.
  • Prepare and manage applicable customs declarations.
  • Conduct routine financial audits and inventory spot checks to maintain accurate controls and reporting.

  • Take accountability for all relevant key performance indicators, including service ratings, revenue targets, USPH scores, cost control, and crew satisfaction.
  • Act as a visible and supportive leader who promotes crew development and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
