Job summary

AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking an Asset Manager for a Northern Cape mining site. You will oversee the maintenance strategy to ensure safe, reliable plant operation and drive asset performance across the operation.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, GCC certification, and 3+ years in maintenance and asset management within mining, with leadership experience to guide teams and projects.

Qualifications

• B Degree/BTech in Mechanical Engineering (NQF 7).
• GCC certificate (Mines and Works) is required or advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years in operational Engineering Maintenance Management in mining.
• Minimum 3 years in asset management and 2 years in management roles.

• Coordinate maintenance programs and ensure MHSA compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimization of assets.

About the job ASSET MANAGER - NORTHERN CAPE

Our client, a leading mining company in the Northern Cape, is seeking a qualified and experienced Asset Manager to provide expertise in the maintenance of equipment ensuring plant and equipment is maintained effectively and operated in a safe and reliable condition, through the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and tactics for the management of assets and equipment whilst optimizing the interface with other mine systems and equipment aligned with the companys Asset Management policies framework and ISO 55000.

Co-ordinate and manage the equipment maintenance programs on the Mine in terms of the relevant legislation such as the MHSA ensuring that assets deliver value, mitigate risk and achieve the organizations objectives, which includes but not limited to:

Asset integrity and equipment reliability management

• Design and installation management
• Asset analysis
• Continuous improvement and optimization
• Stakeholder/Relationship management
• SHERQ adherence and compliance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

B.Degree / B.Tech Degree (NQF Level 7) in Mechanical Engineering

• GCC Engineering certificate (Mines and Works)
• Asset Management Maintenance Professional certificate or equivalent is an advantage
• Minimum of three (3) years operational Engineering Maintenance Management experience within the mining environment
• Minimum of three (3) years operational Asset Management experience
• Minimum of two (2) years operational Management / Managerial experience

Minimum of two (2) years Team/Project leader/Supervisor experience in a project environment is an advantaged
