Job summary
Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Assembly Manager for a Roodepoort plastics facility. You will oversee daily assembly operations, safety, quality, and output, and drive stock control and continuous improvement.
The role requires leadership of a production team and hands-on expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices. Qualifications include N6 in Mechanical Engineering or Matric with Maths/English, plus 5+ years in a similar plastics environment and supervisory
Qualifications
- N6 or Matric with Mathematics and English required.
- Minimum 5 years production experience in plastics, preferably injection moulding.
- 5+ years supervisory/management experience essential.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and 6S principles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Assembly Department.
- Manage safety, quality and production targets.
- Control stock and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop employees and optimize manufacturing flow.

Our client in the Plastic Manufacturing industry in Roodepoort is looking for an Assembly Manager to oversee the daily operations, employees and output of the Assembly Department. Will be responsible for safety, quality, production targets, stock control, employee development and continuous improvement
Salary depending on experience and qualifications
- N6 Mechanical Engineering / Matric with Mathematics and English
- Minimum 5 years production experience within the Plastic Manufacturing industry, preferably Injection Moulding (A Must / not negotiable)
- 5 Years Supervisory or Management experience required
- Experience with Takt time and One Piece-flow manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and 6S principles
- Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
- Supervisory Management certificate (Advantage)
- Willing to work shifts, overtime or extended hours when required
