Job summary

Oxyon People Solutions in Johannesburg is seeking an Assembly Operator to join our plastics manufacturing team. The role focuses on accurately assembling components, performing quality checks, handling materials and maintaining a clean, safe production area.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' plastics manufacturing experience, good numeracy, hand-eye coordination and be willing to work shifts and overtime to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or higher.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a plastics manufacturing environment.
• Strong numerical and measurement skills.
• Good literacy and communication skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
• Ability to handle plastic components safely.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime.
• No criminal record.
• Must pass an assessment and practical test.
• 20/20 vision and punctual, disciplined, reliable, and committed to meeting production targets.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assemble components accurately and efficiently.
• Perform quality measurements using relevant measuring tools.
• Read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Conduct quality checks and report any deviations immediately.
• Identify assembly challenges and assist with implementing solutions.
• Move stock and stack pallets according to the required configuration.
• Load raw materials into hoppers.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and cleanliness in the production area.
• Adhere strictly to security and privacy protocols.
• Meet production targets and maintain high standards of quality.
• Work overtime and shifts when required.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
