Job summary

EdUpStairs in Mpumalanga, Tonga area, seeks a skilled tradesman with Grade 12 and appropriate Trade Test Certificate in earth moving equipment or related fields. The role requires technical analysis, report writing, and knowledge of CA applications, with overtime and standby availability.

You will inspect and repair equipment, supervise staff, and contribute to continuous improvement through research and documentation.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Earth moving equipment mechanic or related trades and tradesman experience.
• Willing to work overtime and standby.
• Technical analysis knowledge.

• Knowledge of production processes and skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce designs according to client specifications and production capability.
• Produce objects with material and equipment according to job specs and standards.
• Quality assurance of produced objects.
• Inspect equipment and plant for technical faults.
• Repair equipment and facilities according to standards.
• Test repaired equipment and plant against specifications.
• Service equipment and plant according to schedule.
• Quality assures serviced and maintained equipment and/or facilities.
• Compile and submit reports.
• Provide inputs to the operational plan.
• Keep and maintain job record/register.
• Supervise and mentor staff.
• Continuous development to keep up with new technologies and procedures.
• Research and literature studies on technical/engineering technology to improve expertise.
