Job summary

Fidelity Services Group in Hermanus is seeking an experienced Armed Response Shift Supervisor to manage deployment of armed response vehicles and support alarm activations. The role oversees Response Officers, handles shift administration, and liaises with clients to ensure rapid, safe responses.

The position requires PSIRA Grade B with Armed Response, a valid firearm competency, a Grade 12 qualification, and at least 3 years of armed response experience.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12 or equivalent).
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid Firearm Competency (Business purposes).
• PSIRA Registered Grade B with Armed Response.
• Clear Criminal Record.
• 3 years armed response experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle shift administration (equipment and vehicle checks; stock management; vehicle servicing; accidents).
• Supervise Reaction Officers on shift.
• Manage deployments, oversee open areas and overtime.
• Issuing and controlling of firearms on a shift; ensure correct completion of register; permits.
• Respond to alarm activations.
• Take over incident scenes to allow AR to manage other calls.
• Liaise with clients as required.
• Ensure training files (Reg 21 & Driver refresher documents, FAMS / Flash files, etc) are up to date.
• Follow up on staff concerns (discipline; leave; pay queries; investigations; sick/absent notes).
• Ensure Biometrics is actioned on each shift.
• Adhoc functions as per Manager in line with area goals.
