Placements24 is seeking an Area Operations Supervisor for our Vereeniging, Gauteng facility. You will oversee daily warehouse and logistics activities, lead a team, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive productivity across receiving, warehousing, and dispatch.

The role requires 4+ years in logistics with 2+ years in supervision, strong problem-solving, and effective communication to coordinate across departments. Hybrid working model supported with on-site supervision will be essential.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Logistics or Operations Management preferred.
• Minimum 4 years in warehouse/logistics operations; at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent logistics and distribution company, is seeking an energetic and organized Area Operations Supervisor to oversee operations within a specific sector of their Vereeniging, Gauteng facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods, managing a team of warehouse and logistics personnel, and maintaining high productivity levels. The Area Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of operational plans, problem-solving on the ground, and ensuring service level agreements are met. This is an on-site supervisory role critical to the smooth functioning of our client's Vereeniging operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities within the designated area, including receiving, warehousing, and dispatch.
