Job summary

MAZIV Group in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a network operations supervisor to coordinate activities ensuring quality and performance across internal and external teams. The role oversees provisioning, maintenance planning, and incident management to uphold a premium network standard.

Ideal candidates will have Matric, preferably technical tertiary education, and at least 4 years in team leadership, with supervisory experience being advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate network activities to ensure quality and performance of internal and external teams.
• Oversee and manage activities in a geographical area to ensure the network is provisioned and maintained to high quality.
• Ensure circuit provisioning, network acceptance, and that a high-quality network is delivered with minimal fails.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance inspections and proactive network checks.
• Conduct planned network maintenance to uphold high standards.
• Coordinate reactive maintenance to resolve issues efficiently (low downtime).
• Practice effective people management principles.
• Maintain and improve conditions of elements within control (POPS, street cabinets, etc).
• Ensure efficiency in financial management.
• Document and maintain as-builts according to field activities.
• Conduct planned maintenance and scheduled changes to maintain top network standards.
• Actively manage network incidents throughout the business process.

To oversee and manage all manage all activities in a geographical area of the network to ensure, the network is provisioned and maintained to the highest qualiyty.

• To ensure Circuit Provisioning and Network Acceptance is thorough and accurate and a high-quality network is delivered. (Over Inspection of network standards vs spec) & > 0.5% fails.
• Ensure that the Network is provisioned for all orders and potential orders.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance inspection routines, ensuring that the network is proactively inspected.
• Conduct planned Network maintenance to ensure the network is maintained to the highest standard.
• Coordinate the reactive (break fix) maintenance system to ensure that any unplanned issues are resolved as efficiently and effectively as possible. (1,25% of Active subs & NPS 50).
• Practice Effective People management principles.
• Maintain and improve the conditions of elements within the ANO's control not limited to POPS, STREET CABINETS etc
• Ensure efficiency in financial management.
