Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee 12 clothing retail stores across the Western Cape. The role focuses on driving sales performance, ensuring consistent operational standards, and leading store managers and retail teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in multi-store management, clothing retail experience, and strong leadership with budgeting, stock control and customer service.

Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple clothing retail stores across the Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing store operations, leading teams and ensuring consistent operational standards across the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily operations and performance across 12 retail stores.
• Drive sales targets, promotional activities and overall store profitability.
• Monitor store performance, budgets, expenses and operational KPIs.
• Lead, coach and manage Store Managers and retail teams.
• Oversee recruitment, staff performance and disciplinary matters.
• Manage stock control, shrinkage prevention and stocktaking procedures.
• Ensure consistent merchandising, housekeeping and customer service standards.
• Conduct regular store visits and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Identify operational challenges and implement improvements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric certificate essential.
• Retail operations qualification advantageous.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience as an Area Manager or in a similar multi-store management role.
• Clothing retail experience is essential.
• Proven experience managing sales targets, staff, budgets and stock control.
• Strong leadership, business acumen and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid Code 8 driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the Western Cape.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required.
