Profile Personnel is partnering with a client to recruit an Area Manager for overseeing multiple retail stores across the Western Cape. The role focuses on driving sales, leading store teams, maintaining high operational standards and executing business strategies across the area.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years in a similar Area Manager role, experience in clothing retail, and a strong ability to manage staff, drive performance and travel between locations as required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing store teams, ensuring operational standards are maintained, and implementing business strategies across their area.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of multiple retail stores across the Western Cape.

• Drive store sales and ensure sales targets are achieved and exceeded.

• Implement and monitor marketing promotions and business strategies.

• Manage, motivate and develop store teams to maximise productivity and performance.

• Manage staffing requirements, performance management and employee relations in conjunction with HR.

• Monitor store security, risk and shrinkage, and implement preventative measures where required.

• Ensure effective stock, inventory and asset management across all stores.

• Monitor controllable expenses and contribute towards overall business profitability.

• Ensure consistent merchandising, housekeeping and operational standards across stores.

• Conduct regular store visits and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Monitor competitor activity, pricing, promotions and market opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standard operating procedures.

• Drive high standards of customer service and assist with customer queries and complaints.

• Provide regular feedback to management regarding store performance, opportunities and challenges.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric is essential.

• 3–5 years' experience in a similar Area Manager capacity.

• Clothing retail experience is essential.

• Retail operations qualification will be advantageous.
