Placements24 is seeking an Area Hygiene Supervisor to oversee sanitation standards across multiple Port Elizabeth retail locations. This field-based role requires leadership to implement hygiene policies, conduct audits, train staff, and manage cleaning material supply for all assigned stores.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in a supervisory cleaning/ sanitation role, strong knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to travel within the Port Elizabeth area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role within cleaning, sanitation, or facilities management, preferably within the retail sector.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing hygiene programs and training modules.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly as they apply to Port Elizabeth retail spaces.
• Demonstrated leadership and team motivation skills.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel regularly within the Port Elizabeth area and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
• A valid driver's license is essential.
• Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
