Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture required.
• Minimum 5 years of hospitality/leisure design experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong conceptual design, space planning and detailing skills.
• Excellent visualization and presentation abilities.

Responsabilités

About the Role Our client, a forward-thinking architectural practice with a niche in hospitality and leisure design, is looking for a talented Architectural Designer to join their team in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga . This role focuses on the conceptualization and detailed design development for boutique hotels, resorts, and entertainment venues. The ideal candidate will have a creative flair, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for designing unique and immersive experiences. You will collaborate closely with clients and a team of architects to translate creative briefs into stunning, functional spaces that enhance guest experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative architectural concepts and design proposals for hospitality and leisure projects.
• Create detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and renderings to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, brand identity, and operational requirements.
• Work with senior architects and other consultants to ensure design feasibility and compliance with regulations.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, and furniture to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of spaces.
• Contribute to the technical documentation process, including specifications and construction details.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hospitality design, material innovation, and sustainability.
• Participate in site visits during the construction phase to ensure design intent is realized.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a significant portion dedicated to hospitality, hotel, or leisure design.
• Strong proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated ability in conceptual design, space planning, and detailed interior architectural design.
• Excellent visualization and graphic communication skills.
• Understanding of South African building codes and accessibility standards.
• A portfolio showcasing high-quality hospitality and leisure design projects is essential.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills, able to work effectively in a team.
• Experience with FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) selection is advantageous.
• Passion for creating memorable and experiential environments.
