Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a leading architectural firm specializing in the design of cutting-edge healthcare facilities, is seeking an accomplished Architectural Designer to contribute to significant projects in Klerksdorp, North West . This role demands a unique blend of technical proficiency, creative design thinking, and a deep understanding of the specific requirements and complexities of healthcare architecture. You will be involved in all phases of design, from initial programming and conceptualization to detailed design development and construction documentation, focusing on creating healing environments that are functional, efficient, and patient-centered. Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centres.

• Contribute to the firm’s knowledge base on healthcare architecture through research and sharing of best practices.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in architectural design, with a significant portion dedicated to healthcare projects.
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare facility design, understanding of medical planning principles.
• Proficiency in Revit and other architectural design software. Experience with BIM for healthcare is a plus.
• Knowledge of healthcare-specific building codes, guidelines, and standards in South Africa.
• Strong conceptual design skills and ability to translate complex requirements into functional spaces.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience working in Klerksdorp or the surrounding North West region is beneficial.
• Professional registration with SACAP is preferred.
