Job summary

Our Johannesburg office is seeking a skilled Architect to join Hatch Architecture. You will produce architectural deliverables, collaborate with designers, engineers and PMs, and coordinate across disciplines to deliver diverse facilities.

Role requires 5–10 years post‑qualification experience, Master of Architecture, SACAP‑registered status, and strong BIM/Revit proficiency. BIM tools and multi‑disciplinary teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Master of Architecture degree and SACAP-registered professional status.
• 5–10 years post-qualification experience, preferably in consulting engineering.
• Industrial Brownfields/Greenfields experience; knowledge of codes and standards.
• Strong BIM proficiency with Revit; ability to work in a virtual team.
• Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary design and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural design of buildings and facilities across design stages.
• Produce construction drawings, reports, specs, and related deliverables.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary design with leads and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee their work quality.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers and project managers to deliver projects.
