Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive and experienced Aquatic Facility Manager to lead operations at their premier water sports and recreation center in Centurion. You will manage a dedicated team, oversee daily operations, and implement robust safety protocols to maintain a secure and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

The role requires at least five years in aquatic facility management, current Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certifications, and Pool Operator Certification.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in aquatic facility management or related supervisory role.
• Current Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
• Pool Operator Certification (e.g., CPO) is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff, develop schedules, and conduct training.
• Strong understanding of pool chemistry, water treatment, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of aquatic facilities, ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Supervise, train, and schedule lifeguards, swim instructors, and maintenance staff.
• Develop and enforce safety policies and emergency procedures; conduct drills.
• Oversee pool areas, equipment, and water quality testing.
• Manage budget for the aquatic facility, including staffing, supplies, and repairs.
• Plan and promote aquatic programs, events, and swimming lessons to maximize usage and revenue.
