About the Role

Our client is seeking a responsible and experienced Aquatic Centre Supervisor to manage the daily operations and ensure the safety and functionality of their swimming facilities in Vereeniging. This role involves overseeing lifeguards, managing pool maintenance, enforcing safety regulations, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aquatic safety, pool operations, and staff supervision, committed to maintaining the highest standards of service and safety within the aquatic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule a team of lifeguards, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to safety protocols.
• Oversee the daily operation and cleanliness of the swimming pools and surrounding areas.
• Implement and enforce all pool safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular facility checks and coordinate necessary maintenance and repairs for pool equipment.
• Manage aquatic program registrations and assist with the organization of swimming lessons and events.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and administer first aid or CPR when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in aquatic facility management or supervisory role.
• Current Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications are mandatory.
• Pool Operator Certification (e.g., CPO) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pool chemistry, water safety, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
