Job summary

Donford BMW Motorrad Stellenbosch is seeking a Motorcycle Technician to ensure the preparation, servicing and repairs of all motorcycles to exact standards. The role also leads and mentors all technical staff within the workshop.

Key duties include diagnosing vehicles, updating job cards, and providing technical and non-technical support to workshop staff. You will attend BMW SA training and perform preventative maintenance, dismantling and reassembly of engines and components.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include Senior Certificate (Grade 12) for further technical development.
• Valid Motorcycle Drivers’ licence.
• Qualified Motorcycle and Scooter Technician (Red Seal Certificate).
• 2-5 years' workshop experience after qualification.
• Motorcycle workshop experience essential.
• Computer literate (Office Suite).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles.
• Ensure all job cards are updated accurately.
• Provide technical and non-technical assistance to workshop staff.
• Attend general departmental meetings and maintain good housekeeping.
• Attend BMW SA technical training.
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on motorcycles.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair and assemble motorcycle engines and components.
• Diagnose and repair faults in motorcycle engines and related systems.
