Job summary

Helderberg Personnel is seeking an experienced Senior Motorcycle Technician to lead and mentor workshop staff in Stellenbosch. The role focuses on preparing, servicing and repairing motorcycles to exact standards and efficiencies.

You will diagnose faults, manage job cards, and oversee preventive maintenance while maintaining housekeeping and participating in company technical training.

Qualifications

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12) is required.
• Red Seal Certificate as Motorcycle and Scooter Technician.
• Valid Motorcycle Driver's Licence.
• 2-5 years' workshop experience post-qualification.
• Motorcycle workshop experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in motorcycle engines and related system components.
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on motorcycles.
• Dismantle, inspect, and assemble motorcycle engines and components.
• Ensure all job cards are updated accurately and maintenance records kept.
• Support workshop staff and participate in training sessions.

Job description

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the preparation, servicing and repairs of all motorcycles within workshop are executed to the exact standards and efficiencies required. Responsible for leading and mentoring all technical staff within workshop

Requirements:

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
• Qualified Motorcycle and Scooter Technician (Red Seal Certificate)
• Valid Motorcycle Drivers’ licence
• 2-5 Years' workshop experience (post qualification)
• Motorcycle workshop experience essential

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for vehicle diagnoses
• Ensure all job cards are updated accurately
• Responsible for (technical / non-technical assistance) to workshop staff
• Attend general departmental meeting and maintain good housekeeping
• Attend company technical training
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on motorcycles
• Dismantle, inspect, assess, repair and assemble motorcycle engines and related system components.
• Diagnose and repair faults in motorcycle engines and related system components.
