Job summary

TFG in South Africa seeks an Allocator to manage strategic inbound and outbound inventory from suppliers through the distribution center to stores. You will help formulate and execute the merchandise distribution strategy and act as a point of contact for stores and operations on product requirements.

Working with Planners and Buyers, you will implement the Merchandise Strategy, perform store and merchandise analysis (style and sizing), and monitor stock delivery to drive timely actions.

Qualifications

• Matric is essential with a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Allocator experience is required.
• Strong numeracy and an analytical, detailed and strategic approach to work.
• Excel skills and proficiency with BI/Planning tools.
• Strong business acumen and merchant thinking.

Responsibilities

• Inbound and outbound inventory management from supplier through DC to stores.

• The portfolio entails the strategic inbound and outbound management of inventory from supplier through the DC and finally to stores.
• Allocators are also responsible for formulating and executing a merchandise distribution strategy, as well as act as a point of contact for stores and operations for product requirements and require dedicated administration.
• Working with Planners and Buyers to fully implement the Merchandise Strategy
• Store and merchandise-related (style and sizing) analysis
• Monitoring the delivery of stock and take appropriate action
• Effective communication with stores & Operations.
• Monitoring product performance to take appropriate action
• Regular store visits where appropriate

Qualifications

• Matric essential (+ relevant tertiary qualification)
• Allocator experience required
• A high degree of numeracy and an analytical, detailed and strategic approach to work
