Job summary

Air Connect in Cape Town, South Africa is seeking a dedicated Airport Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of terminals, restrooms, waiting areas and other public spaces at the airport.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior cleaning experience, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and the ability to work independently with strong time management and teamwork, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Able to work independently and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in the airport terminals and public areas
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors
• Empty trash cans and replace liners
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, such as tables, chairs, and counters
• Clean windows and glass surfaces
• Restock supplies, such as paper towels and toilet paper
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a clean and organized airport environment
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed
