Placements24 is seeking an experienced Airline Operations Manager to oversee and optimize flight operations at the Durban hub. You will lead a dedicated team and coordinate with maintenance, safety and customer service to ensure safe, on-time schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field, 5+ years in airline operations, strong leadership and regulatory knowledge, and proficiency with airline operations software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in airline operations or similar aviation management role.
• Experience in flight scheduling, crew management, and operational planning.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with airline operational software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage daily flight operations including scheduling, dispatch, and flight monitoring.
• Oversee crew scheduling to meet duty time regulations and needs.
• Coordinate with ground handling, maintenance, and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety management systems.
• Analyze operational data to identify improvements and implement actions.
