Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor in Durban to lead a team of operational staff, ensure quality and safety, and optimize workflows in a dynamic environment. You will guide day-to-day activities, monitor performance, and implement improvements to meet targets.

The role requires a diploma/degree in operations management or related field, with at least 5 years in operations and 2 years in supervision. Hybrid work and career progression are available.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in an operational role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity in Durban.
• Proven ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively.
• Strong understanding of operational workflows and best practices in a relevant industry.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of operational staff, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor operational performance against set objectives and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies within the operational area.
• Train and mentor new and existing staff on operational procedures and best practices.
• Manage inventory and resource allocation to support efficient operational output.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
