Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years in aircraft performance engineering or related aerospace role.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics, thermodynamics and flight mechanics.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, Excel) and flight data analysis software.
• Familiarity with ICAO/FAA regulations.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Experience with aircraft systems and performance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze flight data recorder (FDR) and quick access recorder (QAR) data to assess performance.
• Develop and refine mathematical models for takeoff, climb, cruise, descent and landing.
• Monitor and report on fuel efficiency and identify improvement strategies.
• Conduct performance testing and validation within specified parameters.
• Collaborate with flight operations, engineering and maintenance on performance issues.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations with findings and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with performance regulations and airworthiness standards.
• Develop and maintain performance databases and software tools.
• Assist in evaluating new aircraft types and technologies for performance characteristics.
• Provide expert support for flight planning and operational optimization.
