About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Aircraft Mechanic to join their Line Maintenance team in Stellenbosch . This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks on aircraft that are scheduled for service between flights. You will be responsible for routine checks, minor repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure aircraft are ready for safe and timely departures. This position requires a hands-on approach, a strong understanding of aircraft systems, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet tight turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting scheduled line maintenance checks, including daily inspections, weekly checks, and transit checks.
• Troubleshooting and rectifying defects and malfunctions on aircraft systems and components.
• Performing minor repairs and replacements of parts as required during line maintenance.
• Interpreting technical manuals, service bulletins, and maintenance instructions.
• Ensuring all maintenance activities are accurately documented in the aircraft maintenance log.
• Collaborating effectively with flight crews, dispatchers, and other maintenance personnel.

Requirements

• Certified Aircraft Mechanic with relevant licenses (e.g., SA-CATS).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in line maintenance or heavy maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, engines).
• Proficiency in using aircraft maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and quality standards in Stellenbosch .
