Qualifications

• Valid ATC license and required ratings (Aerodrome, Approach, Area Control).
• Extensive experience in air traffic control with a proven safety record.
• Excellent concentration and multitasking under high-pressure conditions.
• Strong verbal and written communication; clear articulation.
• Must pass medical and psychological assessments.
• Ability to work in Randburg airspace environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control air traffic within designated airspace, utilizing radar, communication, and navigation systems.
• Issue clearances, instructions, and advisories to pilots to ensure safe separation and efficient movement of aircraft.
• Manage ground movements at the airport, including taxiing, takeoffs, and landings.
• Coordinate with other air traffic control facilities, airlines, and emergency services.
• Identify and respond to potential conflicts, emergencies, and non-standard situations with immediate and effective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of air traffic control procedures, regulations, and communication protocols.
