Qualifications

• Valid Air Traffic Controller License issued by the relevant aviation authority.
• Specific ratings for Aerodrome Control, Approach Control, and/or Area Control as applicable.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an Air Traffic Controller.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving under pressure.
• Maintain concentration and situational awareness for extended periods.
• Proficiency in ATC systems and radar equipment.
• Medically fit and regulatory compliant for Air Traffic Controllers.
• Legally eligible to work in Upington, Northern Cape, ZA.

Responsibilities

• Control and manage air traffic within assigned airspace with proper separation.
• Issue clearances, advisories, and information to pilots for safe operations.
• Monitor radar displays and other navigational aids to maintain situational awareness.

• Handle emergencies and provide assistance to aircraft in distress.
