Job summary

Rhenus Logistics is seeking a logistics professional in Johannesburg to support shipment handling and data entry. The role requires coordinating with internal customers and operations to ensure accurate documentation and timely progression of shipments.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Bachelor's in Logistics, at least 3 years of experience in Air/Ocean freight, and strong data-entry accuracy with fluent English.

• Minimum 3 years of logistics experience, especially Air/Ocean Freight forwarding.
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist internal customers and operations with shipment handling.
• Process booking documents, enter TMS data, and manage financial accruals.
• Ensure timely milestones and status codes with 100% data quality.
• Prepare and transfer documentation.
• Handle shipment types: Back-to-Back, Direct Master, Consolidation.
• Meet tight timelines for shipments to multiple countries.

What You Can Expect** :**

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Assisting internal customers & operations team with shipment handling
• Processing booking documentation, transport management system (TMS) data entry and financial accruals
• Ensure timely and proper setting of milestones/ status codes with a target of 100% data quality
• Preparation and transfer of documentation
• Handling different types of shipment: Back-to-Back, Direct Master, Consolidation, etc
• Strict meeting of timeframes for shipment handling to different countries

What You Bring:

Knowledge & Experience:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, specifically with Air / Ocean Freight forwarding
• Excellent data entry skills with high level of accuracy
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
