Blacksmith Agency is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop AI models rather than training models.

You will work with engineering and delivery leadership to turn a documented automation roadmap into shipped, working systems, leveraging LangChain, LangGraph and related frameworks. This role is ideal for someone who has already built with LLMs and can demonstrate it.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsabilités

• Translate automation roadmap into shipped, working systems.
• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs including tool usage and function calling.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours in design and development production processes.
• Create automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• Integrate MCP server components as part of our broader AI stack.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.
