Placements24 is seeking an experienced Agronomist to join operations near Richards Bay. The role involves applying scientific principles to improve crop production and soil health, maximizing yield while promoting sustainable practices on farms.

You will work with farmers and farm managers, advising on soil management, fertilization, pest and irrigation strategies, and crop selection. A strong background in plant and soil science, plus data-driven problem solving, is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Agronomy or related field.
• Minimum 5 years professional experience as an Agronomist.
• Strong knowledge of plant physiology, soil chemistry, and crop management.
• Experience with agricultural research methodologies and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder advisory skills.
• Familiarity with agricultural software and tools is a plus.
