Placements24 seeks a qualified Agronomist to join the Cape Town team, contributing expertise in soil health, crop nutrition and sustainable farming to optimize production. Qualifications

• Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Agronomist or in a similar plant science role.
• Strong knowledge of soil chemistry, plant physiology, and entomology.
• Familiarity with sustainable and organic farming principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil analysis and provide recommendations for fertilization and nutrient management.
• Monitor crop health, identify diseases and pests, and recommend integrated pest management strategies.
• Advise on optimal planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques for various crops.
