Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager for a fully remote role in the agricultural tech space. You will identify market opportunities, forge partnerships with research institutions and distributors, and drive commercialization of innovative agri-tech solutions.

You will lead negotiations, analyze market trends, and collaborate with R&D and sales to expand our client’s market reach globally.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships within the agricultural or agri-tech sector.
• Proven ability to identify market opportunities and drive growth initiatives.
• Strong understanding of the agricultural value chain and technology trends.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing complex partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and strategic growth areas within the agricultural sector.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to drive market penetration and revenue growth.
• Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with technology providers, research institutions, distributors, and stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations and finalize agreements for new ventures, collaborations, and distribution channels.
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with R&D, product management, and sales to ensure successful market entry and commercialization.
• Develop compelling business cases and proposals for new initiatives and partnerships.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and online as needed.
• Manage relationships with key partners to ensure alignment and mutual success.
• Track and report on BD activities, pipeline progress, and KPIs.
