Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Project Manager to oversee AgriTech implementations across farms and processing facilities around Paarl, Western Cape. You will lead initiatives from planning through deployment and staff training, coordinating with agronomists, engineers and farm managers to ensure smooth adoption.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project management within agriculture, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with modern farming tech such as IoT, farm software, and precision

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably with tech implementation in agriculture.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Western Cape agricultural landscape and on-site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead AgriTech implementation projects from planning to completion.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans with schedules, budgets and resources.
• Manage project teams and ensure effective collaboration between technical and farm staff in Paarl.
• Oversee vendor selection and management for timely delivery of solutions.
• Monitor progress, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate training programs for farm staff on new technologies.
• Provide regular status reports to senior management.
