Job summary

This role focuses on managing projects related to the development and implementation of innovative agricultural technologies, including precision farming solutions, smart irrigation systems, and data analytics platforms.

The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within South Africa, though proximity to agricultural hubs in the Free State would

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience on technology-driven projects.
• Experience in the agricultural sector or AgTech is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of precision agriculture, IoT in farming, or data analytics is a plus.
• Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle from ideation to deployment and support.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and resources.
• Coordinate with engineers, agronomists, software developers, and field techs.
• Develop and manage budgets with cost reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks; ensure solutions meet end-user needs.
• Facilitate communication among clients, partners and teams.
• Stay updated on advances in AgTech and best practices.
