Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Surveyor to join our client’s team in Benoni. The role focuses on measuring land boundaries, topography, and mapping agricultural properties for development and land management purposes.

The ideal candidate has a professional Land Surveyor qualification or a Geomatics-related degree and at least four years of experience. Proficiency with total stations, GPS, drones, and CAD software is required to produce accurate reports and support land-use planning.

Qualifications

• Professional Land Surveyor qualification or degree in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Agricultural Surveyor or in a similar surveying role.
• Proficiency with surveying instruments (total stations, GPS, Drones) and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of land measurement principles, cartography, and legal surveying practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys to measure and map land boundaries, topography, and features for agricultural use.
• Prepare detailed survey plans, maps, and reports using specialized software.
• Assess land characteristics such as soil type, drainage patterns, and existing infrastructure.
• Provide expert advice on land use, zoning regulations, and potential development constraints.
