Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager for the Randburg, Gauteng region. The role focuses on identifying market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in agricultural products and services.

Hybrid role with on-site client meetings and remote work. You will lead market analysis, lead generation, proposals, and contract negotiations, working with sales, marketing, operations and technical teams to deliver value.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; MBA preferred.
Minimum 5 years in business development or sales, preferably in agriculture.
Proven track record of closing deals and building partnerships.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and potential markets within the agricultural sector.
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Lead negotiations for new contracts, partnerships, and distribution agreements.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.
Prepare compelling business proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in agriculture.
