Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Library and Information Science (NQF Level 7) or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in an academic library.
• Experience coordinating employees or Student Library Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate after-hours operations and shift coverage.
• Deliver circulation, access, enquiry and directional services after hours.
• Supervise employees and student assistants on duty.
• Monitor safety and security during after-hours operations.
• Operate library systems and report daily statistics.
• Ensure facilities are ready and safe for users after hours.
• Engage with other campus functions to improve after-hours services.
