Placements24 is seeking an Advocacy Lead for a fully remote role servicing South Africa. You will develop and execute strategic advocacy campaigns, conduct policy research, build coalitions, and engage with policymakers to influence national public policy.

Qualifications

About the Role Our client, a prominent national non-profit organization dedicated to social justice and policy reform, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Advocacy Lead. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in policy advocacy, public affairs, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
• Deep understanding of legislative processes and policy-making environments.
• Exceptional research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and persuasively.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage effective coalitions and partnerships.
• Experience in public speaking, media relations, and grassroots organizing.
• Proficiency in utilizing digital advocacy tools and social media platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Must be highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work effectively independently in a remote capacity.
