Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Public Affairs Specialist for a national advocacy group. You will develop and execute strategies for media relations, government outreach, and public awareness campaigns, shaping policy discourse from a remote position.

You will craft persuasive communications, build relationships with key influencers, monitor political developments, and manage projects independently in a remote-first setup across South Africa.

Formación

• Advanced degree in public policy, political science, communications, law, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, PR, or related field.
• Proven success in developing advocacy and communication strategies.

Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for persuasive argumentation and storytelling.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials and media representatives.
• Strong understanding of policy-making processes and legislative advocacy.
• Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
• Proficiency in using digital communication tools and social media for advocacy.
