Placements24 seeks an experienced Advanced Medical Equipment Field Service Engineer to support healthcare facilities in the Nelspruit, Mpumalanga area. The role covers installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of complex medical devices including MRI/CT systems and patient monitors.

The ideal candidate has a Biomedical/Electrical engineering background with 5+ years of field service experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and commission advanced medical equipment per manufacturer specs and client needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure reliability.
• Diagnose and repair complex issues across electronic, mechanical, and software systems.
• Conduct calibration procedures to ensure instrument accuracy and performance.
• Provide training and support to hospital staff on operation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain detailed service records of repairs, parts used and time spent.
• Coordinate with clinical and technical staff to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement for repairs.
• Stay updated on new medical technologies and service protocols.
