Job summary

Astral Foods Ltd is seeking an Administration Assistant to support laboratory operations in Roodepoort, Gauteng. Responsibilities include intake of samples, registration into LIMS, and ensuring accuracy of submission forms and sample status.

The role involves customer communication, coordination with the Finance department on invoices, and providing contingency support during busy periods, while complying with the Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Intake of samples from customers or couriers
• Registration of samples into LIMS, including the updating of various stats sheets
• Customer communication, support and follow-up of concerns/complaints
• Comply with the companies Quality Management System
• Outsourcing procedure and duties
• Liaise with Financial department with regard to invoices, on hold customers and accounts
• Contingency for Administration Manager in their absence
• Contingency for other Administration Assistance when they are absent or during busy periods
• Checking submission forms and samples submitted correspond
• Checking the requirements of the analysis before the sample is registered/released into the laboratory
