SafetySA in Cape Town is seeking a detail-oriented Sample Reception and Logistics Assistant to support the Chemistry Laboratory. You will log, label, and store samples in the LIMS, verify documents, ensure traceability, and coordinate with couriers to meet turnaround times.

You will also handle on-site sample collection, packaging, transportation, and general administrative duties, while maintaining ISO/Health & Safety compliance and tidy, compliant laboratory spaces.

Responsabilidades

• Sample Reception & Logging: Receive, inspect, and accurately log all incoming samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Verify accompanying documentation and resolve discrepancies with clients or couriers.
• Label, store, and maintain samples under appropriate environmental conditions and ensure full traceability of samples throughout the testing process.
• Prepare and distribute samples to relevant laboratory departments within required turnaround times.
• Archive and dispose of samples per retention schedules and quality management requirements.
• Sample Collection & Delivery: Conduct on-site sample collections following approved procedures; safely package, handle, and transport samples to preserve integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage and ensure vehicles are roadworthy and maintained.
• Administrative & Logistical Support: Adhere to SOPs, ISO requirements, and Health & Safety policies; provide general administrative support and act as a contact for clients and couriers.
