Placements24 is seeking an Addiction Counselor for a rehabilitation center in Rustenburg, North West. You will assess clients, build personalized treatment plans, and provide individual and group counseling to support lasting recovery in a compassionate, client-centered environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with medical staff and therapists, adherence to ethical standards, and ongoing professional development within a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
• Registration with HPCSA or SACSSP is highly desirable.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an addiction counselor.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI and recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate addiction history and readiness for treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.
• Provide psychoeducation on addiction, recovery, and mental health.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for integrated care.
• Maintain confidential client records.
• Support and guide families of clients.
